Vertical Drop Ride Skyscraper May Come to Times Square

Plans for a new hotel at 740 Eighth Avenue sketch out the latest addition to the observation deck wars: three vertical drop rides atop a 40-story hotel. Ticket holders will be pulled up 260 feet before getting released for a “free fall.”
