These are the bras that Refinery29 employees say are the most comfortable.

What I look for in a bra: I hate wires, so I often opt for cotton and other soft material.
My most comfortable bra: Pansy's Full Bra
Why I love it: It's so soft and comfortable, but it's actually really durable and functional. The straps are so sturdy that I've even worn this as a top with high-waisted wide leg pants before.
Mi-Anne Chan, Beauty Writer & Video Producer
What I look for in a bra: Ideally I'd go without a bra, but when I do wear one (either to round out the shape of my breasts or just for added support), I'm lucky enough to wear only bralettes. No underwire, no padding, just elastic, fabric, and two straps — even better if it has no clasp to irritate my back.
My most comfortable bra: Richer Poorer Classic Bralette
Why I love it: It ticks all the aforementioned boxes! That, and the elastic is strong so it doesn't ride up when I lift my arms (does that happen to anyone else?).
Rebekkah Easley, Editorial Associate/Associate Producer
What I look for in a bra: I'm petite and an A cup, so if I'm wearing a bra, the number one priority is comfort. Sometimes I just need a helping hand to create a little shape and make it look like I have a little bit more to work with than I really do.
My most comfortable bra: Aerie T-Shirt Bra
Why I love it: It's the most comfortable bra I own. The bra claims to have underwire, but I can't feel it at all. It's like slipping a glove on, but for your chest.
Jessica Cruel, Deputy Beauty Director
What I look for in a bra: Generally, I look for a bra that has underwire and cut-and-sew cups. However, everyone needs a comfy sleep bra that supports without leaving any marks on the skin.
My most comfortable bra: Cosabella Never Say Never Curvy Sweetie Bralette
Why I love it: I used to laugh at the thought of wearing a bralette, since I'm an F cup. But this one from Cosabella is SO comfortable. It's designed for larger busts, which means it's supportive without being restrictive. Without fail, I'm pulling this bra off the washing line to wear as soon as it's been washed.
Natalie Morin, Editorial Assistant
What I look for in a bra: Most bras for women with smaller boobs look like plain training bras or have enough padding to stuff a lifejacket. So something pretty and well-crafted that gives just enough lift and shape is important to me.
My most comfortable bra: Natori Feathers Bra
Why I love it: The embroidery in the cups and the band are very delicate without being too ornate, and I love how the mesh makes it resemble a demi-cup. It doesn't have much padding, but still manages to contour my chest very well and play up what I already have instead of trying to overdo it. It's also insanely comfortable — even the strapless version, which doesn't have underwire that digs into your skin.
Michelle Li, Associate Fashion Market Editor
What I look for in a bra: I'm a 32C, don't mind underwire and hate any padding. I usually like bras that are made from really soft materials and provide minimal support.
My most comfortable bra: Fruity Booty Raspberry Boobs Bra
Why I love it: I can never find a bralette that holds my boobs in, but this one does. It is also so soft and I love the contrasting straps; the look is super cute.
Marissa Rosenblum, Senior Shopping Director
What I look for in a bra: My ultimate day-to-day bra is as close to non-existent as possible. No padding, no wires, no bells, no lacy whistles.
My most comfortable bra: Calvin Klein Modern Triangle Bralette
Why I love it: It's just thick enough to smooth and cover, and it's made of a comfortable cotton and modal blend. The wide band stays flat and doesn't dig in or create bulges, and I've never had issues with the straps falling down. I'm a 34 B-C and wear a size medium. There's really not a lot to say about this bra and that's exactly why I like it.
Rachel Krause, Senior Beauty Editor
What I look for in a bra: I have a rocky relationship with bras: I don’t like shopping for them, certainly do not enjoy wearing them, and have never found one that feels… right. I’m also a 32D that would rather look like a 32B, but that’s a body-image issue for another time.
My most comfortable bra: Gap Seamless Bralette
Why I love it: I literally order these bralettes in bulk — they’re so comfortable and have a barely-there feeling to them, but still offer a surprising amount of support. They have a slight smoothing/minimizing effect that I love, but manage to not cause the dreaded uniboob.
Hannah Bullion, Associate Social Media Editor
What I look for in a bra: Comfort over everything. I'm not one to wear a bra for style (unless I'm wearing a sheer top, which is maybe once a month). Most importantly, I just want a bra that does the job and doesn't give me indent lines across my chest at the end of the day.
My most comfortable bra: Out From Under Markie Seamless Ribbed Bra from Urban Outfitters
Why I love it: After wearing push-up bras from Victoria's Secret for most of my teenage years, I finally decided to embrace the small boob life with comfy cotton bras. I like to wear this one under looser clothing — think chunky sweaters and button ups.
Channing Hargrove, Fashion Writer
What I look for in a bra: I do not wear bras like ever. In fact, the last one I wore, I took it off in the middle of the day, at my desk, because the underwire was poking me. So, in order for me to want to wear one and keep it on, it needs to feel like next to nothing.
My most comfortable bra: Richer Poorer's Classic Bralette
Why I love it: This bralette is reminiscent of a training bra — it's so comfortable that it's easy to forget that I'm wearing anything at all.
